Locke House
In 1855, Dr. Dean Jewett Locke of New Hampshire brought his bride Delia Hammond of Massachusetts to his homestead in the San Joaquin Valley. They built a small frame house which was replaced by a three-story brick structure in 1865, with construction of a water tower in 1881, and a two-story addition in 1882.

Enjoy the romance, simple elegance and serenity of this historic rural home graced with English country gardens. Locke House is a destination or stop-over on the way to Lake Tahoe and other Sierra resorts, Gold Country, the Delta and Yosemite.
